Hi there: Are you planning to release a version of ClusterMarker that's compatible with the Google Maps API version 3? I've used ClusterMarker for years, and will have to find a completely new clustering system if you're not planning on this.

ClusterMarker has served us very well, so I'm hopeful you're looking into updating!

Hi.

I did make a start trying to port ClusterMarker to API v3 code a couple of months back but ran into problems...

API v3 documentation was vague on how to access the map projection methods which are necessary to convert geographical lat,lng values into pixel x,y values and vice versa.

Take a look at this recent discussion on the Google Maps JavaScript API v3 group: http://groups.google.co.uk/group/google-maps-js-api-v3/browse_frm/thread/6d248587c63f6716/95720af939fcc6dd?hl=en#95720af939fcc6dd.

You'll see it confirms that the methods that ClusterMarker requires are not directly accessible and another method to perform the coordinate transformations is required.

I don't have time currently to research v3 methods but would hope to have ClusterMarker ported to v3 'sometime soon'.
Sorry i can't be more precise than that but i have to devote most of my time to work which pays and then have little time left for projects such as ClusterMarker.

If someone already understands the v3 methods to perform the coordinate transformations then maybe we could work together to get ClusterMarker ported to v3?
